providing comfort and an authentic ambiance after an exhilarating day on the trails. Each evening, we embark on a culinary adventure, dining at select restaurants that celebrate the local bounty,
with a special emphasis on the region's exceptional seafood.

Who is our Lofoten MTB trip for? Participants should have sufficient strength and stamina to handle approximately 1,000 meters of ascent and descent per day. Confident handling of the bike on
trails of difficulty level S2, with some S3 sections, is required. Experience on hiking trails in alpine terrain (surefootedness) and practice with shorter carrying and pushing sections is
essential. At times, it may be beneficial to take on two smaller tours in one day.
The trails are classified according to the Singletrail Scale. Here is our assessment:
► South Tyrolean MTB Guide
► Instagram Andreas Tonelli
► Organises and leads bike tours since 2003, among others on the Lofoten Islands in Norway, Jordan, Morocco, Madeira, Croatia, Canary Islands, Chile, Dolomites
► Passionate biker with heart and soul since 1995 | Born in 1977
► Always out and about on the trails in the Dolomites, even at home
► Profession: bike guide, trail scout, organiser of active trips in the areas of biking, trekking and ski touring

+ What protective gear should I bring?
We generally recommend as much protection as necessary, but it’s no use if you can’t move in the gear! As mandatory, we require knee pads, an enduro helmet, a back protector, and gloves.
Optional: a protective shorts. We also recommend goggles or sunglasses, as it can sometimes be quite dusty. The back protector can also be integrated into a backpack.
+ What else should I pack?
At least 2-3 spare tubes (better: tubeless), a backpack (with back protector), an enduro helmet, and a derailleur hanger for your bike, as these are not standardized and each bike has its
own. Also bring brake pads for your brakes. Otherwise, a few change of clothes, underwear, functional clothing, hygiene products, and anything else you usually take while traveling.
+ Is there anything else important?
Very important: Before your trip, make sure to get travel health insurance that covers any medical costs in case of injury abroad. We anticipate an increased risk of injury for this trip.
Usually, nothing serious happens, and it's just a few scrapes, but sometimes it can be more. If that happens, we will take care of you and get you to a hospital.
+ How is the food & drinks arranged?
You will have full board during the trip, meaning all meals (including tea & coffee during the tour) are included.
+ I’ve booked the trip, what happens next?
We will contact you right away. After your booking, you will receive a booking confirmation and invoice from us.
+ I booked the trip, got injured, and unfortunately can't join!
We're sorry that you can't join. Depending on when you cancel, cancellation fees may apply. You can find the details in our terms and conditions. Cancellations up to 30 days before the
trip are free of charge. We always recommend booking travel cancellation insurance. Together with our partner MDT Travel, we offer several insurance packages.
The Lofoten are an untouched paradise for bikers, meaning there is no official trail network; instead, we ride on natural trails. These trails are raw and exposed to the elements,
reflecting the local weather conditions.
Rocks and gravel will be your constant companions. Steep descents await, so the ideal bike is definitely an all-mountain or enduro bike with at least 140mm of suspension.
We will be pedaling a lot ourselves, so a suspension that can be locked out is highly recommended. This will make the uphill sections much more comfortable.
Norway tours are not comparable to tours in the Alps.
Before diving into the trail, we usually ride, push, or hike uphill (about one-third of the time). The descents are on less-traveled, rather technical top trails of the region (classified
S2-S3). The downhill sections offer indescribable views and experiences in a unique environment. We often complete multiple smaller tours per day. To experience as much as possible of the
most beautiful islands of the Lofoten archipelago, we will change our base three times.
The weather changes quickly, and it might even be rainy when we start, only to be rewarded with perfect sunshine and an epic descent down to the sea. We will stay in the best Rorbuer
accommodations on the islands, enjoying delicious local cuisine.
This program is not just about biking; it’s also about experiencing the unique, contrasting landscape, the "Far Out" feeling, and the certainty of experiencing something truly special.
The Trollviken Lodge is located 40 minutes from Narvik and around 30 minutes from the airport.
The beautiful rooms are housed in two typical Scandinavian buildings, with shared bathrooms and views of the fjord and the wild Norwegian nature.
The lodge features a sauna directly by the sea and offers free Wi-Fi. We will have breakfast and dinner in the lodge's family-friendly restaurant (lunch is provided as a packed meal).
Svinøya Rorbuer is a spacious two-story rorbuer complex in a unique location, offering views of the Svolvær harbor, surrounding mountains, and the sea.
The approximately 115 m² cabin features 4 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, a dining area, and a well-equipped kitchen. Additionally, it has its own balcony and a sauna.
The famous restaurant Børsen Spiseri, where we will have dinner, and the center of Svolvær are just a few minutes' walk from the rorbuer complex.
This is a beautiful rorbuer complex located in the fishing village of Mortsund, offering a unique view of the open sea.
The cabins feature 2/3 double bedrooms, each with its own shower and WC, as well as a living area with a kitchenette.
The restaurant Marmælen, where we will have our dinner, is also part of the complex and just a few minutes' walk away.
